The United States has never been a Christian nation. Remember? The founders of this country wisely understood what a state religion could do to minorities (England had just come back from their bloody civil war between the Roundheads and the Cavaliers and then repression under Cromwell). The founders carefully made it a article of the Constitution that the state would not establish any religion. Too dangerous to have a required religion. What if YOUR branch were not chosen? Rev. Sun Yung-Moon is still buying up buildings and Senators. Would you want the Unification Church to be YOUR state religion?
Your "In God We Trust" and the "One Nation Under God" (to the Pledge of Allegiance) were added by anti-communist forces in the US. It was to show that the US was better than the "godless Commies." And you might notice that it does not specify which God we are talking about in either case.
The Bohemian Grove group is not Masonic. Bunch of very rich old f@rts.
Masons honor The Great Architect of the Universe. Never have seen anything about owls. Maybe Woodsie the Owl on the "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute" commercials but no owls in Lodge.

I think you will find that any addition of God on to your dollar notes was a direct consequence from the cold war; an attempt to prove that God was on the Amercian side against the Communists.
