there are believers and non believers... those who believe do it because of the specific human nature: we must have something to believe in, either an entity or in ourselves... some became believers in childhood due to their parents' education, school's education or community's influence; some started to believe only after bad things happened to them or their families; some lost their belief during life; some never were and died non believers.
and to get to the point, in my opinion it's best if you start believing in God (whatever the religion) only when you are truly convinced of it, not when others say you should... religion, no matter which one, is a code of conduct, of morality, it has its landmarks therefore, if you are a good and moral person you won't find it difficult to believe what it says.

Most people are indoctrinated by their parents and their societies but subsequently choose to delude themselves into believing they actively chose their belief system by reading around it.
If this was not the case you wouldn't be able to create pretty geographical maps of the world's religions - the true nature of reality should not be related to boundaries and culture.

If you want to be secure in knowing that you are going to be eternal, instead of mortal, God is the way to go. Jesus is the way to God.
'Religion can confuse you. Jesus never said, " Be religious and be saved." The Bible says:
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
If you accept that, then you are going to be in a good place forever. That sounds like a good reason, right?

Of course God is the Creator of heaven and earth the leaving and non leaving things, I believe in God the Almighty father that he gave his only begotten son to save us from sin so why should you don't believe in God.

We all should believe in God number one because He created us. and gave us forgiveness for our sins. I know bad things happen to good peopel but that is because other people choose to not live according to God.
