Try a change such as:
A fringe: either side or striaght on, both will update your look!
A change in length: Why not go to shoulder length, or chin length?
Layers: Get them cut to flatter your face, a hair dresser will tell you what will work!
Highlights: Getting a few foils put in will lift the colour without a drastic change!
Rinse: Putting a semi-permanant rinse through in a shade similar to your hair will lift the shine and make it shimmer!
Anyway, after 7 years you DEFINATLY need a change!

5 yrs is too long to have the same style.
If you have long hair, try the shortest you can.
