The Bible is FULL of contradictions. Undeniable ones. If Christians would just take off the rose colored glasses and read their Bible like they would any other book, without whitewashing the filth and doing crazy mental gymnastics to try to explain away the contradictions and absurdities in there....well there would be a lot less Christians.

No, there are no contradictions in the Bible.
In order to understand some portions of the Bible better, you have to understand the different types of genre used.
There are prophecies, history, laws, poems all contained in the Old Testament. You must also consider the customs of the time when reading the Bible. Who was the Bible portion you are reading addressed to, were they jews at the time of Christ? or were they followers of Christ? or neither of the above two?
There is allegory, prose, and symbolizism, and you should be able to tell the difference.
The Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written by witnesses of Jesus ministry. Paul met Jesus after he had risen, and was a persecutor of Christians (what we would call them now) before that time.
The Old Testament is before the time of Jesus. The New Testament is from the time of Jesus forward.
Hope this little bit helps. There is a new book out called "How to read the Bible for all it's worth" if you are really interested.

There are some, but remember how long of a period the Bible was written through. Times had changed, and people . The Bible is holy and should be read as such, but baring in mind that Abraham's days were more "old fashioned" than Jesus' days on earth.
One contradiction is in one part of the Bible it talks about how men should not look like women and therefore shouldn't have long hair. In another part it says for Samson to maintain his long hair, not to mention most Christians believe Jesus himself had long hair.
It must be taken in context to the time and manner of living, culture.
The basic and important biblical beliefs remain the same and there are no contradictions, only some cultural discrepencies.

There isn't any contradictions in the Bible. Many people like to take single scripture out of context and try to prove that it is contradicting, but anyone with half a brain can see through these futile attempts.

The bible is written on 3 levels, and is taught on 3 levels.
When you have enough wisdom from God, there are no contradictions in the bible!

that jesus could not and did not lie although in the gosipells where jesus heals a person then tells him not tell others who healed him that is teaching or telling a person to lie as hiding or covering trueth is to lie however god does know the necessity of protection from enemies for his children to be mercyfull to those children who lie to the enemies of god for their own protection and thus could have been jesus testing that persons understanding of the stories about jacob that if god sent his son to die would you stand up seeing gods honor to ask god not to kill his son as god did for jacob whose father was told to kill him as a test of the fathers loyalty to god thus jesus seeking to know if this person would protect him as he would protect the person told the person if any asks do not tell them who done this, and if you wish to understand the scriptures you should gather as much knoweledge relateing to the words in the bible and the forms of word useage including life events that reveal moralities and princapalities which show the natures of behavior and if you have any questions of the bible feel free to email those questions to freikeygee@sbcglobal.net and i will do my best to open and reveal the perceptions that allow it to be more understandable for you as jesus said seek yea the scriptures for in them yea think yea find life and thus meaning the scriptures posses alot of knoweledge yet does not have all the answers of life things that god says and does outside of the book in the world around you jesus wants you to see and know that you might understand because people are also writers and those who are liers can write false words in a book and there are also things of which you can not experience by word alone and things of the world which those writers did not place in the book for you to know or reconize truethfully when you find it in life and not in the book although some truethes not in the bible are the keys to unlocking some of the mysteries in the bible

There are NONE! Issues that seem to be contradictions are merely mis-interpretations by folks that have not been enlighten; and are attempting to read with their heads rather that their hearts; and with the guidance of the holy spirit.
The conflicts comeabout usually; because of a lack of undersanding of biblical times, biblical time rules/laws, and biblical language translations.
Non-students of the WORD, forget or don't know that they must also take into consideration the old and the new covenant. When Jesus died for us, the Holy Spirit was given to us to help guide and direct us. We no longer have laws, rituals, and sacrifice as in the old testament. Jesuss' sacrifice moved us into
a new and better covenant; in which we simply love. Because having the holy spirit inside us, it is now natural for us to be givers and accepting of love, peace, and goodwill. However, we still have sin, hate, and destruction, because we have free-will to go toward the light or darkness.

Yeah. In the New Testament, in one gospel, Judas commits suicide. In another gospel, he falls down dead and his entrails pour out. In one part of the Bible it says to keep the body pure and holy. Then Paul tells folks to drink wine in the New Testament, saying it has medicinal benefits, (he says it helps the stomach). There are other instances of inconsistancies too. Some think Moses ascended to heaven on the mountain. Others say he died at the age of 500 yrs.

I know of no contradictions, I knowsome people try to find them and I have proven that they are taking a verse out of context or not reading a couple of verses on either side to get the whole story. read the Bible with an open mind a heart full of prayer and you should be able to understand alot for those things that you do not understand I suggest a good minister and some one on one time. Good luck and May God Bless you.

There aren't any. There are apparent contradictions that can be explained when you look a little closer.
