Drinking alone is NOT so bad!. I often drink wine, whisky or beer alone at home watching TV but not staring blankly at the four walls. Yes, I do feel depressed sometime and the drinks help me to drown my sorrow...Cheer Up!!!!!!!

It's bad, because there's no one there with you in case you drink too much.

If you feel alone, try your local church and seek out the minister/pastor. Consult someone if you're unwell spiritually.

Or, at least, contact someone you can confide in about your feelings.

If you're depressed, remember, you can make it, but seek some help.

And don't drink alone. It's unhealthy because drinking's supposed to be for fun or to relieve stress. If you're drinking alone, you don't have anyone to have fun with or relieve stress. Drink with a friend.

You know...I used to drink by myself, I'd sit in my apartment and drink 40 oz.
I didn't realize this was becoming a problem, until a friend said something.
At first I brushed her off. But then she kept telling me how mean I was to
guys, when we partied. And it was true, but I had to really sit and think WHY
I was drinking ?? And then it hit me....my marine boyfriend of 3 yrs., had just
left to go back to his own state to be with his family. It was very hard on me.
But, then after I realized what I was doing to myself, I just stopped drinking
by myself. That means you are a " problem drinker", there are social drinkers, who don't get smashed. There are Binge drinkers. They usually
hide their bottles. It can become "chronic alcoholism" if you don't a hold of
yourself, and figure out WHY you are doing this to yourself ??? If it is in your
family ( hereditary )....then you have to STOP totally. And have to join AA..
But if you stop drinking by yourself.....do it...before it gets bad. Remember,....
{ your body is the temple of the Lord } TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT. PEACE.
