If God is omniscient then we don't have freewill. He knows in advance the people who will go to hell, but creates them anyways.
Our freewill makes no difference at all in this. Everyone who is in hell right now, God already knew they would be there before he created them. To say otherwise is to say God is not all knowing.
It is a good thing to know that this God doesn't exist.

Ah, this is going to be fun.
Well, first of all, I've played devil's Ad in bible study, regarding this.
The basis question, relates, why does God let bad things happen?
You know, tornadoes, hurricanes, in laws, stuff that we can't control. That part of the free will. For example, we can choose, where we want to live. If you're stupid enough to build in New Orleans, you are living in a hurricane zone. If you live on the plains, you know tornadoes can happen.
And if they do, you can't call a cop out, on God, for not protecting you.
Now, as well, animals, like your little rat test, could care less on the issue of a higher being....animals have no souls, and are on this earth for different purposes....part of the food chain, companionship, etc. Man's greatest gift, was the free will ability....along with his soul, he can choose his fate, with knowledge.
Now, at the same time, God set some basic rules. what we can, or can't do, and as well, obviously, he won't destroy us, but he won't allow us to get too crazy. He knows what he's going to do, when it's going to happen, and how it's going to happen. Man, has his responsibility, to remain faithful, or to falter, and enjoy the world's delight....and pay for his sin, with his life.
Also, the Lord does have the ability to change his mind. Just ask Moses, who asked to be destroyed, along with the others, when they disobeyed him in the desert....he asked, and the Lord spared the children of Israel....and made them a nation.
Being Omniscient isn't having direct control.....God does allow us to live our lives....but don't think for a moment, that if we demand something of the Lord, he'll bend over backwards for you.

God governs billions of kingdoms; he allows man to use his free will to govern just one tiny planet. If man had no free will he would act like a cow, he cannot establish an ever-advancing civilization on this earth. But at his mightiest rebellion, man will not be able to hinder the divine purpose of God. So, that is the favor of God for man to fulfil the mission as a created being, not as God's peer. His test to man is for him to deserve the governance of greater and more mysterious kingdoms.
The wisdom of the One True God is not as low as a scientist to make experiments with a rat. He is making experiments with billions of governors of trillions of galaxies and galaxy clusters. Besides this tiny world of creation, He is also the Lord of the world of revelation which is far greater beyond any human minds to grasp!
So, if you realize that your imagination is just that much, which cannot reach the immense wisdom of God, then please be content to try to learn more about the wisdom of the marvelous humans in this world such as Boddhisattva Ananda, Saint Peter, Imam Ali, Poetess Tahirih, Historian Nabil...I myself never dare claim to be anything higher than a pupil of man's pupils.
Pray for the advancement of your soul.

God knows the outcome because he knows the choices we will make but doesn't make the choices for us. He gives us opportunities to change our ways and ask Him for help.
People are much more complex than rats.

There is but one will. God dwells within you as you,all is designed to awaken you to this truth. The blueprint for the oak tree is in the acorn.God visualized your life before the "beginning" but you must manifest it.

No you got it wrong. Let's suppose you're going to have a test, that you didn't study, and you do know that outcome (that you'll fail), but you have the choice to have the test or not.

The only way to reconcile this is to say:
It is both possible and impossible for "God" to exist. There is no rational reasoning and consistency for it to be rational and consistent.

just because he knows the outcome doesn't mean he will use his powers to change the choices you make.
