Open it... if it smells like wet dog or wet kilt... run
If it makes your eyes water... run
If it doesn't, throw a little in a glass and see what you think... Merot is marvellous with pasta or pizza.
Don't give it away because you're going to give someone a lousy bottle or give a geat one away.
Len Evens, an noteable Asutralian Wine figure would alwas demand the best wine in the house be bought out when friends were around... and drink the rubbish yourself. He did however, always send two-three of his finest bottles (better than the ones at the party) as a thank you to the host for a wonderful evening.

It will never be better ..two buck chuck is the the tail ends and over runs of the large wineries in California that are thrown to gather and bottled under on of some twenty different labels. most of this wine was starting to tail when two buck chuck bought it for bottling. also if your garage has quick temperature changes and get above 80 degrees and below 40 degree during the time the wine was stored there it most likely not any good.

No, it won't be good because it probably wasn't good to begin with. Wine has to be kept at a certain temperature and lying on its side to retain the goodness that was in the bottle. But, if I were you, I'd go out and buy a really good wine and check both out, just to make sure it's not a wasted two bucksl.

It'll be fine. Pop it, sniff, taste it, and if it doesn't suck, enjoy. No, it will never be a vintage superspecialkeepitforfiftyyears spectacular...but provided your garage temps didn't fluctuate TOO drastically, it'll still be good ol' two buck chuck.

yes try it
merlot is not a wine that needs to be old
4 years it's enough
but if your garage is hot or tends to have fast changes in temperatur probably your wine is ruined
don't drink it with cheesburger please.......
...sorry for my english, i'm writing from italy
