Pig is not the only thing that is forbidden in Islam. The question of what is 'halal' (eatable) or "haram" (forbidden) is an easy way to tell Moslem what is good and what is bad for body consumption. Pig is considered as the most forbidden because of all animals, it is proved to be the most gross and un'clean' animal. It even eat its own ****.
Islam practices cleanliness either in what they consume and lifestyle. Besides pig, Moslem is forbid to eat carcass and thus, most of the eatable animals had to be slaughtered properly. Otherwise, it is 'haram' to eat it.

Peace:) as a muslim i know that what Allah (God) urges us to stay away from means it is bad for us as a human! For example, smoking is forbidden in our religion coz it causes cancer and other diseases. In pork case we are not allow to eat it coz it also harm the human body be cuasing some diseases.!!! Anything forbidden in Islam means it has disadvanteges.

its only because of the verses about leagian meaning many being cast out of a possesed person into a group of pigs which were also distroyed and not passed to other pigs although pig meat spoils easily and considering the type of food fed to pigs which are scraps pickt out of the trash and already spoiled its easy to see why those sicknesses are passed into the pigs the people named jesus are the ones who cast out leageons of spoiled food that goes into pigs the storey only observed and revealed the social actions of the writers wittnessed hum hum his-storey although what we feed pigs could be made better to make them kosher animals and how you cook it can also help in making it more kosher

It also states that pork is forbidden in the Torah and the Bible, not just in the Quran. I have asked Christians why if it is commanded of them in the Bible not to eat flesh of swine, then why do they eat it? One person I know who is a deeply religious Christian said, "Well, we don't follow that any more." Why? If it is something God says not to do, he has his reasons, and we should not question why he commands we don't eat it. We should just obey, because he knows best. I truly believe it's out of his love for us that God prescribes all rules of life.
