There are transgressions and there are Iniquities:
Of course, all are SIN, walking over the Law of G-d. We only sin against G-d, not each other.

This is my opinion:
Transgression is just plain sins we commit on a daily basis.
Iniquities are the sins we "hide" in our heart, like hate, jealousy, lying, cheating, etc...

It is easy to ask G-d to forgive us of sin we see, but, unseen is easy to hide, even from ourselves.

It is our hearts G-d is concerned about....IS OUR HEART right with G-d?

Sin we did before our salvation is forgiven at the Cross where we laid them down, accepted Christ's price, his life, for our forgiveness. There HE washes them away with His life's' Blood.
So now, we've been born of water, thru our natural birth, and born of the Spirit, thru the Blood. John 3 teaches us about being born again.

After salvation, there is NO MORE remission (sacrifice) for our sins. When we sin, and we will but not willingly, we need to repent, ask for forgiveness.
Repent means to turn away from those sins.
We must also ask for forgiveness for iniquities. Ask the L-rd to search our hearts and see if there is any wicked way in us, show us, then repent.
G-d is still faithful to forgive us our sins.

Hope this answers you as I was not for sure your question.

Evil and sin, both are creation of human mind. So not of any significance. Any difference can be attributed to one's choice and convenience, and will hold good as long as there are people to subscribe to it !
