GO to www.playgolfamerica.com and find a course in your area that offers Link Up 2 Golf. The price is right, do not buy and equipment they will supply it and they will take you out on the course 3 times. You will learn enough to get started and know how to purchase equipment. You can also find some good information on www.pga.com improve your game section.

There is nothing to a game of golf. Buy One golf club One ball start on the first tee and stroke the ball twoards the hole repeadly. Count each stroke until the ball gets into the hole. Remove the ball from the hole and go to the next tee. Repeat until all 18 holes are complete. Check with the pro shop upon completion to see if your score is a new course record (they like to keep track of new course records). Return to where you came from your day is done. Simple isn't it!

Start by going to a driving range and getting lessons from the pro... Learning the proper swing will save you 20 years of trying to correct bad habits you learned... It's worth the money!

go to a used sporting goods store. buy a driver, pitching wedge, and a putter, and a 7 iron. ask them to make sure they are the proper length for you. then go to a driving range. look around untill you find the best player there. set up next to him/her. start to imitate what he does. PS, stance is the most important thing, so learn this first!
