Over time it's been both - but today it's more of a memory of ancient times.
Traditions of Scotland and Ireland are today what most people think of when they think of 'Celtic' - but in truth historically the Celts occupied most of Northern Europe before the Romans took care of that (those guys have got away with too much historically in my opinion!).
Sadly, like a great deal of prehistorical cultures there isn't a great deal of written documentation as they relied heavily on aural history - passing their history down by word of mouth and in song and dance. There are however great historical artefacts to suggest they were a very advanced people - even a wooden carved item in Ireland that despite being discovered over 50 years ago has only just been deciphered and disocvered to be a highly accurate celestial calendar by using very powerful computers!
The Celts were in effect a collection of tribes and nations. Think Asterix the Gaul!!
Many of their 'pagan' rituals were adopted by the Romans to strengthen their attempt to dominate the region with religion. Easter, Christmas, May Day etc - all have their roots in Celtic tradition - with a bit of Christianity sprinkled on top!!
The native language of Wales, which is taught in schools but only practiced by a minority is the closest existing language to native Celt. Cornwall, a county in England also has a traditional language based on ancient Celtic tongue.
There is a wealth of resource material on the Internet and I would strongly urge you to dig deeper for a fascinating glimpse at pre-Roman civilisation in Europe.

Celtic is the nationality/ethnicity for people whose lineage is Scottish or Irish. The language from either Scotland or Ireland is referred to as Gaelic. The religion most associated with Celtic music (but not directly related to it) is most often what Americans call Pagan or Wiccan, which stems from the Celtic tradition of Druidism.
Druidic religions go back into the ages before history. Some attribute Stonehenge and otehr large outdoor monuments to Druidic followers.
Celtic music is really lovely. Enjoy!

At one point it was a nationality, however the Celtic nation no longer exists/is part of modern Ireland. The Celtic religion is a form of Paganism that is derived from Celtic traditions. Many of the original traditions were lost when the British Isles were converted to Christianity, but the practitioners of the Celtic religion have tried to revive as many of the old traditions as possible.

It's not really a religion, it's more a group of people like the Irish and Scottish could be said to be Celts. There are people who use Celtic beliefs such as Celtic Gods and Goddesses.

Celtic is an ethnicity whose influence is found in many countries. There are Celtic French descended folk living in Brittany who can't speak English, there are Irish Celts who cannot directly speak to them, unless they learn French or get an interpretor.Celts are found all over, and in some unusual places like Asia Minor (present day Turkey). The Apostle Paul wrote to them and his letter is part of the New Testament. Its called 'Paul's Letter to the Galations.' I believe the name ended up with the Celts who later lived in France, earlier called 'Gaul.' The present word in the French language for Wales is 'Galle.'

It's an ancient nationality that doesn't truly exist anymore. It's modern-day Ireland. Celtic music and the Celtic language came from that time.

The Celtic race is a nationality. Paganism and Christianity are their religion sometimes both at the same time in a person. No one has yet burst into flames for practicing both paganism and Christianity together by GOD only by humans.
The gift of music is one of their talents.

Neither. It is an amalgamation of people who share certain traits and culture. Kind of like Native Americans.
