I think that it goes along with the current American definition of "tolerance". We are only being truly "tolerant" if we accept everything but Christianity. Even as Christians, we are expected to accept everything else, but nobody is expected to accept our beliefs. Seems awfully double-standardish to me, how about you?

Christians are used to being praised for being Christians. They always have been praised, and they think they always should be. They feel that other religions are wrong, and should therefore be treated as such. Now that other religions are getting treated as equal to Christianity, Christians are starting to feel the oppression (but to a much milder degree) that they've been giving the other religions for the past millennium and a half. They're starting to feel the loss of power and prestige that they've had all that time, and it feels like oppression, but in fact Christianity is still the most powerful religion in the western world. Christians are being ridiculously childish. When a child has every toy he could possibly want, and is happy because none of the other children have any toys, he might get jealous when some of the other children start getting toys of their own. This is what we call a brat. Christianity is that brat. Christians still have many more toys than any of the other religions on the playground, but Christians are upset because they can't play with some of the toys that they wouldn't even let some of the other religions touch in the past.

It fits, yes. In an age of political correctness and what is called tolerance, people are expected to have an open mind for everything except Christianity. Christianity is allowed to be bashed, ridiculed, and so forth...for whatever reasons.
I find "tolerant" Christians discouraging--the ones who say that any religion is wonderful. When the fact is that Christ's blood negates all other faiths. To say that another faith is okay is to mock God's gift and Christ's mercy.
The people who practice other faiths--fine, be tolerant. As for the faiths themselves, they are untrue, so why treat them with kid gloves?

These are times when Christians are being beheaded, for their beliefs...these are times when Christians are being shunned and persecuted...yes, we are expected by the politically correct to 'accept' everyone and their pagan beliefs..and if we don't..then we are the Christian coalition and evil..these are times when bad is good, and good is bad..and I will not ever stop praising and worshipping and witnessing for My Father in Heaven and Jesus...so let satan and his legion continue to fight because he knows he is on his last legs..ha ha..won't be long and everyone who CHOOSES to be on his side is going with him..Stay strong Christians..and fight to the end...and to all those who give the thumbs down...don't worry, you can be forgiven..but for now, we know who you are casting YOUR vote for

Well, when a Christian praises his own, isn't that pride? Isn't that what the devil got sent to hell for...pride?
I wouldn't expect Jesus to sit around talking about how great He is, why should his followers? WWJD and all that jazz....

I THINK THAT THE WORD YOU ARE TRYING TO REALLY USE IS TOLERENCE FOR OTHERS BELIEFS AND YET NOT SHARE OUR OWN. I THINK THE ACLU IS DOING WONDERFUL WORK TO TRY TO MAKE ALL THIS COME TO PASS. TAKE CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS, NO MENTION OF EASTER, GOT RID OF PRAYER IN SCHOOL, AND MANY OTHER ANTI-CHRISTIAN ACTIVITIES THAT MAY OFFEND OTHERS. THE NAME OF GOD OR JESUS IS SO OFFENSIVE TODAY, PEOPLE TURN ALL RED AND CURSE OVER IT.
HMMMM I THINK THAT IS HOW IT WAS DURING JESUS' TIME. PEOPLE WANTED TO KILL HIM OVER HIS WORDS. THE EARLY CHURCH WAS HUNTED DOWN AND MURDERED FOR NOT DENYING THE NAME JESUS.
YES I THINK HISTORY IN ALOT OF WAYS IS REPEATING ITSELF AND LOOK HOW ROME FELL.
