Trick question....against a trained Muay Thai specialist under their rules, there's no chance in hell. I respect them and the sport bigtime, and will gladly watch from ringside. Under Marquis of Queensbury boxing rules, I think I'd have a good shot. This is just another twist on the "boxing vs. MMA" conundrum--they're different sports, with different skills and different rules. A decent boxer loses to a decent Muay Thai fighter under kickboxing rules, the Muay Thai fighter gets his a** handed to him under boxing rules.

a fella just said 8 out of ten boxer will beat thai boxers, where have u been the 15 yrs, maybe we will see tyson get a fighter like wanderlie silva or mirko cro-cop and then u will see that a boxer can not handle elbows kicks and knees.
let alone takedowns and subs

Most definetely. Boxers are masters with their hands. I think 8 times out of 10 the boxer wins. Bruce Lee once said that he knew Mohammed Ali would beat him in a fight.

Not a hope in hell.
Those guys are trained to defend against normal boxing attacks, the boxer isn't trained to defend against kicks.
Completely unbalanced contest.
