We had absolutely no legal right to invade Iraq. And yes you are correct, our soldiers are paying in blood to line the pockets of the american politicians linked to coroporate oil owners. The war in Afghanistan was necessary to the safety of this country but Iraq has no links to Al-Quieda and this has been presented to this administration many times over, just a few days ago i saw a headline that GWB stated there were no links. Now how about charges of genocide and war crimes?

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...all I hear is "I'm an idiot who thinks that because some political pundit says it, it must be true".

It must be nice (though dangerous) to be able to sew up an incredibly complicated, mutli causative situation into a nice, neat little statement like "It's all Big Oil's fault", or "It's the terrorists". That's OK, just believe what you can handle.

Tell me, precisely how much oil are we supposedly getting from this? Really, you all want to say we are there for oil. WHY ? Because you heard some celebrity say so on MTV, or scarcely more reliable, a reporter on CNN, or because there is actually some evidence that this is so?

Yes and No. Wars sometimes have to be fought to protect your a$$ and unfortunately some corporations do profit from it but a lot of that profit goes back nto the economy and into the war effort. DO you think bullets and tanks etc. are free? ANd do you drive a car or ride a bus train or plane? How far would you get without oil?

Do you know how much oil we have gotten from Iraq?
The answer: Not a drop
We get our oil elsewhere: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc. Even after the First Gulf War (If you are old enough to remember 1990) we didn't get a drop of oil. In fact the US has never recieved a drop of oil from Iraq and it probably never will due to UN sanctions.
We are not fighting for oil!!
Yes, we are not in Iraq for any real purpose, and I don't believe we should be there, but you do need to understand that we do not get oil from Iraq.
