well yeah i want to ask this girl out but then the thing is i dont have my license yet and she does. so we're both still juniors in highschool and she goes to a different school. you dont think it matters that she picks me up do you?

i think it is ok but tell her you would really like to take her out but there is only one problem you do not have a license and let her make the decision whether she wants to pick you up or not. If she really likes you and wants to go out with you she will.pick you up without you asking her. This away you won' feel so bad, you are leaving it up to her.

Its OK.., just a Practicality / Convenience.... By the way, I am surprised how people take care about these small intricacies - in a modern age of - baby first marry later - sleep with more than one partner - living in relationship without marriage - etc.. No it doesnt matter if she picks you up. When my husband and I were dating I used to drive him places all the time. Dont worry if other people say anything either. They are just jealous :) Have fun on your date.

The whole concept of guys having to drive comes from a time when it was not genteel for a girl to take the lead or to drive. Women have been liberated and guys got to go along for the ride, so to speak. ;)

It doesn't matter to me, but does it matter to her? Before you even ask her out, tell her "I would ask you to go out with me but I don't have my license yet." See what she says. She may say "I'll pick you up" or just say "bummer" but at least you will have tried.

Heh, but anyhoo, don't let that stop you, I'd love picking up a guy instead of him picking me up.....no time limits.....I'd get to know what it was like.....chyeah.

My now wife was driving 2 years before me. I did not mind at all her driving. As soon as I was able though, I took the wheel.

Absolutely - why not... some girls are going to be rude about it probably but if she is one of those, you don't want to date her anyways so go for it - see what happens.
