I have been thinking about walking on water, and it struck me that black people have more oily skin as do Asian Indians, and many darker skinned people.

Oil floats on water, so I was just wonderig you know?

Ethnicity is a category, not an actuality.

Good luck with the walking on water - take some floaties just in case, though. Water can be an unpredictable bugger.

The walking on water was portrayed as a "miracle" meant to demonstrate Christ's divine inheritance. It had nothing to do with oily skin.

As far as Jesus' ethnicity, we might suppose it to be the same Jewish blood that ran through the veins of all the people he associated with. Except, of course, His Father was God, so that kinda changes things. Since God is the Father of all the human race, He would have no "ethnicity", but then again I have no idea what your question really is and I'm just ranting random speculations anyway.

to answer your question ......

It depends on what vantage point you're looking at Jesus from.
I'm half arab half american. Jesus is only half ethnic to me.

If you're 100% american, then yes he would be ethnic.
If you're 100% arab then no, he wouldnt be ethnic.

you see where i'm going here?
