I think people have different ways of believeing. I take life as..as long as im not hurting anyone and doing good deeds then im doing okay. And since i took an archological class and history class i started to question religion. Who are we to say someone elses religion is better then the other. But i'll pray for you..hahah..im just playing so dont report me.but like they say to talk about religion is like talking about politics. Everyone has their own way of thinking so your not alone.

Religion itself isn't overrated, but the fact that the vast majority of them promote, or even require, a blind faith in completely illogical and seemingly-impossible things *is* overrated. Not only is that overrated, but it's asinine. People willingly step forward, surrender their brains, and let themselves be led towards whatever fate the heads of the churches decide. It's a sad state of affairs, especially when people are born into their religion, and they continue to follow it simply because that's what their parents and everyone else around them does. They never actually think about what they believe because they've always believed it, and if you ask them about it, you'll never get a very good response.

So, yah, in a nutshell, religion *can* be ok, but the willful ignorance it fosters isn't.

Well I think it comes down to being specific about which religion you are referring to. You may not value religion, so yes, from your point of view it is overrated, but to the average God-fearing religious types, salvation is the one thing that will never be overrated.

the creation theory is to assume that God deliberately planted
enormous quantities of evidence to make it look as if evolution had

Yes. Too many people claim to be religious without really believing what their religion teaches. However, God is not overrated. See my answer in your last question.

Yes, people think that their religion is the right one, and that everyone who doesn't agree is going to hell. That's just not right.

Yes it is. It is useless but some people need it to be controlled by some imaginary person.

It is because of GOD you are here to speak your mind. It is also because of GOD you have people to go to war, So you could speak your mind, and keep us free to do so!!!!!!
You need to thank GOD everyday for what you are and where you are, he has a plan for you. One day you will see and take him in your heart.

I tend to think religion gets underrated, even by those who practice it.
