I would suggest you check out your local car auction facility. They usually have cars that have been reposessed and that are in good condition for low prices. They usually have some kind of warranty and with so many state lemon laws you should feel comfortable in purchasing. If possible always take a mechanic with you when looking at a car. Good Luck! :o)

You do not give a price range, or any information on what type of vehicle (and the use) that you are looking for, so it is hard to give a specific recommendation.

I would say that you should stay away from auctions, because you can not be sure of what you are getting. Unless you really know what you are doing, you can spend a lot of money for a problem car.

Have any car you are considering checked out by your own qualified mechanic, prior to purchase (this can not be done at an auction) If your state has inspection requirements, make sure that the car will pass!! Any seller (dealer or private party) who will not allow the car to be taken to your own shop (local, and at your expense) should be avoided!!
