O.K., I got contacts a few months ago (first time with contacts or with any corective lens), my eyes werent that bad when I got them, but I had trouble reading things on the TV and such. Now, after a few months, if I'm not wearing the contacts my eyes are really bad, its hard to see things in the distance, there worse that before I got them. But with the contacts I can see fine. Do your eyes get lazy or something without them after a while?

I wore contacts for a couple years before having lasik surgery ( best investment ever by the way ). The surgeon told me that your eyes continue to get worse as you age, but once the surgery is done it stops any further changes to your vision.

No your brain stops trying so hard to interpret the bad information from your eyes. It's mostly a matter of perception. Don't forget that before correction your brain really didn't know any better, now it does.

YES. my husband chose the better route to never get glasses or contacts. every since i got the both of them my eye sight has gotten worse. his is exactly the same. now i have no choice but to wear thwm to see. so all you out them, do not use or depend on them, it will make your eyes worst.

your eyes can get used to wearing the contacts. BUT, if you have the contacts in and have 20/20 vision, then your vision hasn't decreased. if it gets worse, make an appt with your ophthamologist to get your eyes checked again to see if there's any change in your vision. only he could tell you that.

They become slightly more dependent, but they don't make your eyes "lazy". After having wearing for them for so long, when you have them out, you realize how poorly you saw to begin with.

yes they do.
A couple of years ago I got glasses. I didn't have to wear them all the time but I did.....now my eyes are bad when I do not wear them.
