Free will aside, I do NOT get the same feeling from not believing in God as I do from the idea of infant genocide, if God was worried about my soul, why'd he/she/it make it so I'd question his/her/it's existence? Disturbing is the idea that God would sacrafice me to the depths of hell for asking questions(not just being blindly faithful) about my own creation.

Would you then claim God doesn't want us to think for ourselves at all, he/she/it simply want's us to be his/her/it's humble sheep and not ask questions?

There is no God, and there's no Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus either. I'm not sure of the connection here to infanticide (something the bible condones in several places, btw).

Here's another question while you are at it:

An omniscient God and free-will are incompatible. Either God knows the outcome in advance (and an omniscient God must) or He doesn't - in which case He doesn't know everything.

So, if he knows - why all the games and testing? He knows I will be an atheist and not believe in Him. But, then, He is a jealous God who needs His ego stroked by lowly humans, right?

Killing babies, or any other thing you would consider terrible wrong, is not "instinctively wrong" for everyone. If it were, there would be no murder, terrorism, stealing, etc. in this world at all.

As for your not feeling it's wrong to be an atheist, I would guess that you do think it's wrong, or you wouldn't be asking this question.

God does NOT want us to be puppets and not think for ourselves. If that were the case the Bible would simply say, "Shut up, sit down and listen". Instead, it answers many of our questions. God also encourages us to come directly to Him and ask any other questions we have. So, why not ask Him?

You are not really an athiest, but an agnostic; at least you are asking questions. The crux of the issue is that you recognize the truth when you see it. I challenge you to read the Gospel of John and the first two chapters of Romans and tell me what you think.

Killing babies, even unborn ones, is murder. Being an athiest really cannot be compared to murder, so that is why you do not feel them to be equally wrong. And it may be right for some people to be athiests, because of where their head is at... (but it is still, ultimately, wrong....haha!)

Being an athiest may be temporary, killing an innocent it would seem is permanent. I apologize for those who condemn the atheist mind set. At least atheists are asking quetions, personnally My God rewards asking quetion. For me asking led to the truth eventually, hampered somewhat by watching people who claim to love God but appaently have a real love shortage and blindness about Biblical truth, i think cuz they do not read it. I sugest while asking questions you actually read it for yourself with an open mind discarding pride or loyalty to either a church leader or your own pride.

it truly is not incorrect to experience satisfied. to assert that's inaccurate is the manifestation of a selfish ideas. One desires to interchange the selfish ideas with a ideas it is earnest to assist others. An act to make yet another satisfied conjures up the different to make nevertheless yet another satisfied, and so happiness is born from such an act. Thousand of candles might want to be lighted from a unmarried candle and the existence of the candle isn't shortened. Happiness in no way decreases with the help of sharing. Be a rainbow in someone's' cloud.

If you want to live a Godless life, then fine you are entitled to. You, be your own God. You seem to be a very smart guy so you can plot your own way in life. Live how you see it.

All you really have to do is keep living and life will change your athiest views. If not , then no big lost for this universe. You will discover your spirit one day. You won't have to kill any babys.

that is an insane comparison
Cjhristians are the biggest killers in history
their faith was built on bloodshed and conquest
even now they are planning to dominate the world
and at a Bilderberg meeting in copenhagen it was stated that the agenda demanded a reduction of the world population by 60%.
this is coming from people who think nothing about bombing thousands of women and children,(all by christians)
you better shut up about atheins they dont kill on that scale
you are not asking questions ,insane ramblings do not qualify as such so dont worry
you are still going to heaven
may be
probably not

I believe that God wants us to use our free will and question. I actually feel it is wrong not to. God gave us a beautiful gift in a powerful and active mind. Is it not then wrong to not use it.

I think its easier because in your culture youve been told (or its just a general rule) that killing babies is just not ok.

In that same culture youre also told you can believe and be whatever you want. So choosing atheism for yourself doesnt feel so bad.
