I have always had a good relationship with my mother I can talk to her about anything that bothers me she can do the same with me. One thing that has been passed on to me is "Family First". I've gone through several deaths in my family and it pulls you even closer together. She has gotten several surprises from me she never expected All good. for anyone that does not have a good relationship I suggest you all patch it up because you do not want to look back at this time that you were bitchy with each other when she is gone you want more nice enjoyable things to remember. punkvixen I just lost my father to cancer 2 yrs ago and saw him go through chemo etc... I know what you are going through and you will have nothing but very nice memories if it does not clear. Hang in there and my thoughts go out to you.

I have a terrific relationship with her and always have. She is just a very cool lady and is positive, friendly, funny and just plain lovely all around. She is and always was one of those mums that people say to you "your mum is cool" When I was a teenager we had normal mother daughter rows but she was always way more understanding than my friends mothers without being too much like a friend. Let's face it, although you want to be friends with your mum you shouldn't hang out together with the same group.
She is currently battling cancer and I have been able to give her something back by helping to take care of her while she goes through chemotherapy. I always liked her but have discovered throughout her ordeal that she is the bravest most optimistic and caring individual that I know, mother or not. I am very lucky.

I think of my mom as my best friend. When I was younger we had some rough times, we are way too much alike. But after I got married and moved away I realized that she was one of the most important people you can ever have. I cant imagine, nor do I want to, what I would do without her.

Only when we're not fighting.

Seriously, we got along better once I moved out and she wasn't around to judge everything that I did. She still judges me, but since she doesn't see me as often and doesn't know what I'm doing most of the time, she can't ***** as much.

She's a nice lady, but sometimes she just doesn't like the things I do. Mothers will always be judgemental.

The real question though is do you have a good relationship with your Mum? Yes I have a good relationship with my Mum. I had problems with my Mum when I was younger, but now that I need someone to listen to me when I have problems with myself or my children, she is always there for me.

Yes! I regard my mother as my friend because she was never severely strict with me. She was 19 years old when I was born so our age gap is quite near. We are often mistaken as siblings when we go to social functions. We even share the same taste in music and clothing!

I have an amazing relationship with my mother. She is my best friend. We have what you call a special relationship, I can say things to her that i couldn't tell anyone else and her me and we call each other names. I do the same with my grandma. They are the best....

We do. We know how much we mean to each other but hardly share secrets. I feel bad about it but i guess its just that we belong to different generations with different sense of right and wrong. I love her more than anything else.
