it makes you gain weight faster.
your body burns more calories when you are exerting the most energy. for instance: when you work out, your heart rate is faster, and your metabolism is working harder to burn those calories. at night, your body is at complete rest and burns the least amt of calories. SO- whatever you eat at night will be digested and the calories will be burned at a much slower rate.
if you're wanting to lose weight, try not to eat anything past 8pm, eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day to keep yourself from overeating at any one meal, and of course you know that to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you eat. so go to the gym and burn some! =)

Yes it does because when your body is at rest(non-active) it burns fewer calories,so if you fast all day and then eat a large meal before bed, most of the calories you ate are going to be stored rather then burnt off during physical activity.Your digestive system also slows down and has difficulty digesting, this contributes to the food being absorbed as fat rather then being used in the system.

if you eat late at night you will gain weight because your body does not have enough time to digest the food well. at night try to eat light meals and eat them at least three hours before going to sleep.

If you eat a large meal then yes because your metabolism slows down when you go to sleep. A small snack before you go to sleep shouldn't make much difference.

Going to sleep on a full stomach and your body will retain fat. Going to sleep with an empty stomach and your body will burn fat.
It's better to not eat withing three hours of going to sleep is what I've heard.

yes, since you eat at night (assuming you sleep at night) and your body slows down its energy use and heart rate, you don't need food. So your body stores the food, and vwa-la....it becomes fat.
