There's nothing wrong with that, as long as she is eating and is a good weight.
Cats aren't like people; they don't need (or even like) chages in their food. Their food is made with all the nutrients they need.

first of all whiskas wouldn't be my first choice for food but after this long .... sometimes the shape of the food or the texture may be enough to keep the cat from changing.... i worked at an animal shelter for a long time and found that when we adopted a cat out i would give the adopter a mix of the cat food that the cat was eating and tell people to slowly add a small amount of a GOOD brand of cat food ( no red color !! ) and increase this until the orginal supply was gone .... do this over a several week period also giving a cat a large quanity of food isn't the best way either usually a small amount in the morning and see how that goes after eating if there is any food left in the dish you are giving them too much cut down on the quanity and feed her later in the day around your dinnertime... any food left over means that you are giving her too much at a time !! it should only take a few min. for a cat to get their fill....usually a tightly closed fistful is all a cats stomach can handle at a time....... hope this info is helpful, good luck....

Hi there...changing food suddenly with any cat will cause stomach distress as well as diarrhea in cats. You will need to gradually change her food to the new brand over a course of several weeks. How you do this is to take 3/4 of the old food and mix it together with 1/4 of the new food for one week. Then 1/2 of the new with 1/2 of the old for another week. Finally, 3/4 of the new food mixed with 1/4 of the old for a week before finally 100% of the new food. Please keep in mind that some cats absolutely just don't like some brands of foods either so you may need to consider another brand and then again gradually mix the old kind with the new one to help her adjust. It just cannot be done any other way without making the cat very sick. Consider experimenting with different brands by mixing it with Whiskas in order to help get your kitty to acclimate to the change.
Additionally, most cats should eat more of a premium food to keep their coat healthy and to help minimize hairballs as well. Most cat food available on the market is sub-standard even though they spend a considerable amount of money on advertising. Royal Canin is one of the better brands available in a pet store that doesn't contain the ingredients, corn, corn meal or soy all which are bad for a cats diet. These are in almost every commercial cat food products (Iams, Science Diet, Whiskas, etc) if you read the ingredient label. Here's a direct link for Royal Canin and long-haired breed cat food: http://www.royalcanin.us/catfood/
Long-term medical care will cost more when a cat eats sub-standard food. Just like humans if we eat junk food all the time eventually we will have health problems which will require expensive medical care too.

Take and mix the food you want to change her too. Say at first add just a little bit of the new food with her old..then a week after that. add a little more..and keep just adding little bit more as time goes by until she is completely eating the new food. It should work. And not necessarly will she get hungry enough to eat what you want her too. I tried to give my cats a new diet, because their food is way to expensive, one of my cats starved himself for over a week until I switched them back. Some cats are just stubborn.
