Yeah, what's the best way to cope? I like both of them, but I can't stand seeing them together. I've quietly distanced myself, on good-terms, but is there anything I can do to help myself heal? Being near them makes me either very depressed or very jealous. I guess I should add more details. I confessed my feelings for her, she doesn't love me(she loves him...I heard them making out, but she insists they AREN'T together...and then implied earlier they are). We weren't going out before...we were just friends, except I've had feelings for her for a while. I'm painfully shy and extremely indecisive, the quiet-romantic type, really. Updated with better description for better relevance in answers...thank you for answering!

Been there, mi amigo, and it was my roommate who was the other one. I'm exactly like you described minus the indecisive part. I got horribly depressed, lost my appetite, felt betrayed. The only thing that got me through was my friends. They reminded me constantly that they were happy with each other. Neither one, at this point, had done anything wrong and probably this saved her in the end. You have to hang in there. It would be ten million times easier if they would just get involved together because then you could deal with that instead of the constant are they together or aren't they.

How I coped:
angry music
long walks by myself
school work
reminding myself the other person wasn't mine
remembering how happy they made each other
lots of time playing pool (because it always makes me think)

Best of Luck

You need to keep busy. At least you distant yourself from them. Hang out with friends. You should move on and forget the chick. Don't waste your days on her anymore. It is hard to get over someone you care a lot about but you need to realize she isn't the one for you. Let her be with the other guy. Just tell yourself it's her loss because you could have been good for her. Let someone else be lucky to have you and want you as much as you want her! Good luck!

Well Im sorry. Really the only way to cope is acceptance. You have to accept that she likes him. Its not going to be an easy thing to do, but its the only way to cope.
