Trish pcs is and probably always will be at the needs of DOD, however, there are situations, many, where you can request "stabilization" for up to 2 yrs. One being having a child in 11th grade of highschool, a 4187 can be submitted for stabilization(remaining at current assignment for up to 2 yrs).

In the Air Force once you get back from a deployment, you get 2 weeks off. You inprocess back to the base then you get back to work. Some people PCS during this time. It all depends on where THEY need YOU to be at, at that point in time.

Sweetie, the Military can do whatever they want! Mine returned earlier this year, and within 3 months we were moving. Also, there is the deal of having to stay up to 90 days after returning, but then he can be moved....

Sorry, but that's just not true. With all the realignments and personel resets, PCSing is going to be a fact of life for many of us. Your husband can always request to stay where he is, but that is only contingent on his MOS and the needs of the Army.

I wish I could help you with this question, but I don't know the answer. Do you mean, move you to a different base? My hubby is deployed at the moment. Usually you are assigned a stationed, and they usually move you every three years. It depends on if you ask to move or not I guess.

It's not true. That's just a rumor. It always will be the needs of the Army. If you just came back from deployment, you can always be redeployed anytime.
