No..Muslims can not do that, for simple reason, Muslims in fact should only celebrate two major events, Eid Al Fiter, this is the first day after the month of Ramadan , the month during which Muslims observe fasting. Then the tenth day of the month of Do Al Hejja, which marks the final day of the yearly pilgrimage.
More over , Muslims never celebrate the birth day of their Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the manner Western world celebrate Christmas., and that goes for all prophets of Allah including Jesus (PBUH).
By the way, at present , most of those who celebrate Christmas, they do not celebrate it as the birth day of Jesus(PBUH), most they only take it a chance for drinks and dance and.....etc. It has long lost it's meaning, and , as such, many people has turned it into a night of sins.

Well, if Christmas can become a celebration for atheists and Jews--as it is in America--then why not Muslims too?
