there is no speed limit except on some sections. in addition, it's not just about speed, it's all about driving safely on the autobahn which allow people to drive fast. rules like only using the left hand lane to pass, and when you finish passing you have to return to the right side of the road unlike the usa where ppl hog all lanes.

in case of a traffic jam, all lanes of traffic have to create a gap in the middle of the road to allow emergency vehicles to pass unlike in the usa where ppl don't move their car to the side at all.

Hello,

there are no maximum limits in the german Autobahns, as long as traffic signs doesn't restrict it (eg. there are restriction signs in case of wet conditions, fog conditions, time preiods, types of vehicles). There only a very few sections where you can go unilimted. Mostly, 130 km/h is the limit. According to german laws, there's a 20 km/h tolerance. There are several radar traps near critical sections, indicated with early warning signs.

Regards

Some places - unlimited
Most places - 130 km/hr (about 80 mph)
In built-up areas - 100 km/hr (about 62 mph)
In congested areas - 50 km/hr (about 31 mph)

The autobahn also has dynamic speed limits which adjust to conditions, etc.

As fast as you want, unless it is posted otherwise. You see my dear friend, over there drivers are EDUCATED and the spend LOTS of money on their drivers education, because driving is taken VERY seriously over there...unlike here in the good ol' USA, where they will give any glowing jewel of colossal ignorance a freakin' drivers license. I loved my 3 years driving on the Autobahn. Nothing like sharing the open roads with educated, caring and SAFE people and being able to drive as fast as you want.........

I believe the max speed is limitless, but the min speed is a set
number, sorry, but I can't remember what that is.

There is no limit. However, it is much more crowded these days and you'd be lucky to hit any real car testing speeds.

Reasonable. All else gets you busted. Depends on what, how, where and when you are driving.

Oh, and there are posted limits in some areas.
