This holiday 'cookie' that my mom wanted one year -- it consists of cornflakes, green food dye, butter, and marshmellow creme. The idea is that you mix the stuff together, shape it into these cute little 'holly wreath' shapes, and decorate it with red hots for the berries.

Mom wasn't feeling good, so I decided I'd make them for her while she was taking a nap. By the time I was done, I did have perfect little wreaths -- but me, the kitchen counters, the kitchen floor, and any appliance that wasn't nailed down were pretty well glued together with this sticky gunk.

Mom got up from her nap, came in the kitchen, looked at the adorable little wreaths, and said, "Those are so cute! I just toss spoonfuls on a cookie sheet and dump some red hots on them."

If I was Santa, I know whose name would've been on the Naughty list that year! And never, EVER will I make those little green horrors again.

Velveeta fudge
Ingredients
1 pound Margarine
1 pound Velveeta brand cheese
4 pounds Powdered Sugar
1 cup Cocoa -- powdered
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 dash Salt
1 cup Walnuts -- chopped (optional)
Directions
Melt cheese and margarine together in medium sized microwave
bowl. I usually start with one minute, then stir and cook at 30
second intervals till melted and smooth. Stir until smooth and
add vanilla. Mix well. Mix powdered sugar and cocoa in a large
mixing bowl until blended well. Add melted mixture to
sugar/cocoa mixture and mix until completely blended. Work nuts
into dough, and spread evenly in 2 (9"x13") pans. Cool and cut
into 1 inch squares.

A casserole made with canned corned beef hash and shredded cabage. It tasted alright, but it was not an appetizing sight.

Fried Cream: A fried pudding.

I have a recipe that uses brussels sprouts and yams if you're interested? ^.^
