when we said a that a kid need a fatherly figure, we actually indicating the traits father provide. father means security, self-identity, DISCIPLINE FOR LACK OF MOTIVATION, abilty to succeed. .
that doesn't mean the mother role is not significant. mother means creativity, sensitivity, caring, courteous, love & warm.
both roles are important & vital for to bring up a kid.

OOOHHHH so not a true statement! I have always had to be the disciplinarian and come from a long line of mothers who have had this role.
My hubby is a big softy and hates to give time out or say no to our kids.
I think it really depends on who is the leader in the relationship and not really who is the "father".

Because by nature woman are the nurturers and men are the warriors. Its just one of those things. Its changed a lot over time, but genetics says that saying, Ill tell your father, should instill more fear then saying, Ill tell your mother. But for many people, its the mother. It doesnt much matter any more though.

Cause the mothers don't want to hurt their children (Most likely having to do with carrying them for 9 months) so they tend to be too nice and father is supposed to be the man of the house running things.

this is not necessarily true -- my children do not live with father and i know many single moms -- father cannot be disciplinarian, hes not in the pix.
in other words its not the father but the mother. fathers are big softees.

Coz father is the only person who bears the responsibility of the entire house. He is the creator of the home and he doesn't want anything harm done 2 the family.

men are supposed to be the dominant gender so its only fitting that daddy be the big boss in the house and make sure things are running how they are supposed to and if not then daddy can fix it.

we live in a predominantly patriachal society where it has been this way throughout history, men have been the dominant of the couple and it has always been expected for him to handle the dirty work
hope this helps :)
