absolutely. i find that when my allergies are worse than normal i get a very sore throat due to more mucus - extreme nasal drip!

ear, nose and throat are all connected. and sometimes one affects the other. so if you have allergies and you have runny nose, and sneezing, then yes it can affect the throat. sometimes your nose drips to your throat. check the meds you take and some meds are actually made to clear up all three symptoms. last week, i had allergies, and runny nose, and a terrible earache. i took some amoxicillan, which cleared up my earache, and now on claritin to combat the allergy symptoms.

Sometimes, yes. it does not last long, though. Only a day. If it is an infection, it lasts much longer & is much more sore. That's my experience.

Sometimes when I'm about to catch a cold, I will get a sorethroat first, before other symptoms set in. Sometimes my ears itch. but no, sorethroat usually means a cold for me.
