Honestly, I forget to do it sometimes; but it's something we should do more often. As we count the blessings we're given, we learn how much God has cared for us, and rejoice for His infinite love, just as you do. Everybody has blessings, we only need to stop and count them, and we'll see that God has been very good toward us.
God bless you, my friend!

Sometimes when I have trouble sleeping, I lie in bed and I name blessings from my Father beginning with each letter of the alphabet. I usually don't make it to Z before I am so at peace that I am asleep.

I do indeed. I count 'em all: (1) I'm not some atheistic, communist, illegal FOREIGNER; (2) I'm not lazy and POOR; (3) I'm not lazy, illiterate and a SCHOOL DROPOUT; (3) I'm not lazy and UNEMPLOYED; (4) I'm not lazy and HOMELESS; (5) I'm not sinful, perverted, and GAY and a CHILD SEX ABUSER; (6) I'm not ignorant and treasonous and evil and a GUN HATER, an ABORTIONIST, A DRUG USER, an enemy of SCHOOL PRAYER, a user of CONTRACEPTIVES or a DEMOCRAT. Or a CONVICT or TREE HUGGER.
I stand by the TEN COMMANDMENTS. If they were in every courthouse we would HAVE NO CRIME and FREEDOM WOULD RING!

I do even though I am having a difficult time with it. I guess I'm asking for too much and something that HE doesn't want me to have. So I will stop asking and hoping and go on with life living as if I am happy, filled with joy, and have love while I cry every moment of my exsistence. death to the heart.......

I sometimes realize how lucky I am compared to a great majority of the world, but doing this daily is actually bordering on a mental illness called obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). You really should ease up on the fanaticism.
