I have tried the cosmos trainer. It was amazing! But to expensive to justify getting it. I have an older tacx model called the "flow" that measures power, heart rate, cadence, etc. If you want to spend that much money, i would say just go for the "fortius" trainer. It is the cosmos trainer that can be hooked up to a computer. You can race online in a virtual course against people from around the world. It also does everything the cosmos can do. Check out the tacx forum at www.tacx.com, they are very helpful.

Whoa! Never ridden one, but it sounds cool. It looks like it displays Wattage, and can upload and program workouts to your PC. I hear that Tacx makes good stuff and it looks cool.
For the price I would probably get a regular trainer and a Powertap. This way you can have power on the road and a trainer that shows power. Retail they'll cost more, but I got my whole Powertap system for about $700 on EBay and you can get a nice trainer for a couple hundred.
Powertap can also be uploaded to PC.
I hope this is helpful.
