I've always been fascinated with dragons-even when I was little. As I got older, I started having certain dreams that led me to believe the dragon could be my guardian or protector. How true can this be?

If you're going to answer the question with "dragons don't exist" or "dragons are demonic and you'll see them in hell" then keep it to yourself.

Very possible, dragons are a powerful spectrum of entities, from nature spirits, to proud lords of the elements. You're describing how someone might recognize a spirit guide, or one of theirs. I have little doubt that perhaps you have one, or many dragon or dragonish^^ entities as spiritual companions.

My ancestors believed that a guardian has to be from an animal that existed. Since Dragons in the form you know never existed, then no. But there is a possiblity that it could be a reptile of sorts exactly what I don't know. By the way my guardian or guide is a wolf.

Dreams are also a messaging center of your subconscious mind, not primarily a metaphysical television station. Have you checked what dragons mean in down-to-earth psychology>? Dream interpretation is one of the corner stones of psycho analysis. Spirituality is fine, but maybe the answer is closer than that?
