Try to make a Profiler for a Unix based System - which can track what all Processes are Consuming how much of the System Resources. But this "may" involve some Socket Programming ; I m not too sure. Or may be try and make a small Invoicing System ; with Database connectivity to Oracle or SQL Server . But this may involve using Pro C++ . Check out at
