A mini skirt is above the knee and it is supposedly improper for a girl to wear a dress or skirt above the knee.

Right above the knee is a good. If you feel funny wear leggings under it. That is in style right now.

I wear my mini's to church sometimes but I wear hose and flat shoes. I'm short so everything is long on me. I would wear it just at the knee and all is good.

I think a Christian woman can dress however she wants. A truly loving God wouldn't care how you are dressed.
I think, though, that a girl should dress in a way that is comfortable - but when my daughter is twelve, i hope that she will be comfortable with her body but not feel the need to expose it to be popular. bathing suit or shorts and halter tops when it's hot? sure! as long as the clothing is appropriate to the occasion or location.
If the clothing is tasteful and looks good on you, that's fine. it's okay to follow some styles but you are probably mature enough to make smart choices.
btw, my daughter and I are not Christian.

Christians girls are to dress as someone professing godliness..in other words, others look at you and can tell by the way you dress that you are different...without you telling them that you are a Christian, they will just know...just like the one's that dress real trashy...you can usually tell a person by what they wear. As long as you are covered, there shouldn't be any problem.

As christains we are encouraged to dress modestly.Some people would have no problem with this but boys your age and older might have a difficult time in keeping their thoughts pure.Us fellows seem to have a problem with thoughts about a pretty girl .Please forgive us , and please try to dress more modestly.Bare you one anothers burdens and so fulfill the law of God .Thank you little sister and may God bless you for caring and seeking the right way.

You asked "Is it right...?" You did not ask if it was wrong. So my answer is NO. It is not right.
Now if you had asked if it was wrong, I would have to say "probably". You see, the Bible says whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Your question tends to lead me to believe that you have your doubts. So you are a Christian...why not make a clean cut from the world as the Bible asks?
