You never have to have a problem with cholesterol. Also here is a myth buster that not every doctor is happy for you to know as they make to much money giving healthy people statins.
Eating cholesterol does not raise your cholesterol. Your liver makes over 95% of your cholesterol. You only store about one teaspoon of sugar in your entire bloodstream. When you eat grains, sugar, soda and juice they are rapidly converted to sugar. This sugar is not needed in the blood stream so it is shifted to the liver where the liver converts it to saturated fat. The increase in cholesterol is almost always due to eating too many grains and sugar. It is not due to consuming eggs or fat.

AT ANY AGE!

Diet, lifestyle, and family history all play a role in cholesterol levels. You should start getting your cholesterol checked at age 20. If your cholesterol is normal then you shouldn't need to have it checked again until you are 30 unless you have any medical changes in the meantime. If your cholesterol is high, there are many ways to treat it. If you are over the age of 20 or if it's been more than 10 years since your last cholesterol check, go get it checked now!!! Your doctor will be pleased that you are being proactive about keeping your body healthy.

There has been reports of high cholesterol levels in children, so its not about age but rather lifestyle choices. Its our poor lifestyle choices that causes us to have high cholesterol levels; its a lack of exercise, eating to many fried foods, and poor nutrition.

Depends on your family history and your lifestyle. I ran for 20 years and didn't experience cholestrol problems until about age 60.
