Buddy a cat stuck in tree three days now. how can i get him down!!!!!?

I have a story from Winnipeg Manitoba there a cat named buddy who has been stuck in a tree for three days and i have no help from city to get him down. I phoned winnipeg police fire department, manitoba hydro, pet controll, winnipeg humane society and no one will help. He is so scared and crying all day and night. the sun beats down on him all day sometimes i look at him and he looks dead. How humane can people be. I would think that is abuse just to leave this poor cat in the beating sun all day. and not to for get to mention the frezzing nights we have now. The cat is so exhausted and worn out i dont think hell make any longer. I have pictures of buddy in the tree i can send. he was on the news tonight and radio and in the paper tommorow can you help us find someone to help him down

You've got to get some people on the ground to hold a blanket flat above the ground. Then get up there with a ladder, climb to the cat, and either carry or toss him down. I wish I could help you, I'm in B.C. and if I was in the Peg I'd be there by now (SPCA volunteer)

Get a ladder and climb up there to get him yourself,
Your right it is animal abuse to leave the cat stranded in the tree...You need to go get a huge ladder, or ask around your neighborhood for one.
Do you have an animal rescue, or something,
Or maybe ring up some construction workers and tell them you will pay them 2 retrieve your cat, any buisness that is friendly and would have high equipment , you should consider calling..

Will noone help you? Do you have a ladder to reach him? He is going to die up there! Have you asked any of your neighbors to help? Certainly, someone can get up the tree.

That is awful and I don't know what else to tell you. I would try to get some water to him, even if that means using a water hose. This may cause him to jump out of the tree or fall, but at this point a fall injury couldn't be anywhere near as bad as dieing a slow, painful death from thirst and hunger.

I have heard of an organization call "society for the prevention of cruelty to animals" . See if you can contact them and find out if they will help.

Also contact the local newspaper office. They might put some pressure on the city officials by writing an article in the paper.The citizens who put them in office may not let them get away with not helping a cat in distress

I can imagine how distressing it was for u...my cat got out of my sliding door and i didnt know how he got up to the roof,,,i got home almost 830 pm and it was already starting to be cold....i was having a hard time getting him down....i played the cat ring tone in my cell phone...which he usually follows... and i can see he wanted to go down but wont...i put a ladder but he wont go down.....it was really frustrating because i know he wants to go down but he cant jump the height...... i finally just used a longer ladder and climb up the roof and grabbed him.......
try the police department again...they might help.....im so sorry to hear that..i can imagine how u feel

see-quickly-if u can get the local news media on this. Radio and TV. Someone with a ladder truck might volunteer.

After being in the news, you'll probably have a volunteer by tomorrow -- maybe from a tree-trimming company.

call 911 and tell them your animal is hurt dont explain just say you need help and give address they will come.that is just wrong that they have turned you down expecially the humane society i would be all over that like stink on s*** who cares if they get mad about the phone call just do it.
