Definitely, many times. Not only sermons but also books. I remember once when I felt so hopeless, and I started to hear a sermon from a cassette, and I felt so much better! I just received what I needed.
This proves once more that God is always there, though we might not see Him because of all our troubles overwhelming us, but He's there, and He does care for us. He's always there ready to give us strength and love... and He will always.
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." (Isaiah 41:10)
This reminds me a beautiful quote I would like to share with you:
<> (Ellen G. White, "Steps to Christ", pag. 100)
Good question, it brought up to me good memories. May God bless you always!

That seems to happen to me a lot. Either sermons are like horoscopes and they are generally vague and deal with common problems that we all face, or God is really talking to us through the sermon.

Heavens yes. This has happened to me several times. If I was struggling with a certain attribute, God allowed me to hear the right message for that day.

Yeah, I actually was struggling with a problem that involved a specific person from my past who had shown back up in my life. In the past, this person and I attended a service with a popular traveling speaker. In the present, I came to church one morning and who is there but the speaker. I knew God was gonna speak to me that morning so I prayed that I would hear and I got my heart in the right place. Boy it was powerful and confirming.

It usually has something to do with LOVE THY NEIGHBOR.
We have a real jerk living on our cul-de-sac that makes all 10 families here life a little more stressful. I dislike that family and we have block parties they are not invited to.
THEN on Sunday our Priest seems to KNOW we did this! AGH!
Yes - I have the grace to feel bad. I WISH I could change...trying.
