Catholic priests are not supposed to own anything. Technically, the Church owns it -- the individual does not.
Doesn't stop priests in rich parishes from buying expensive cars -- even if the parish owns it.
However, there are poor parishs where the priest has nothing right along with his congregation.
All of this is apart from the idea of priests as sexual abusers. That could happen in any parish and it's up to the bishop to discipline that priest - wherein lies the problem. Bishops have been reluctant to dismiss priests or "demote" them and get "bad press". That wrong led to all the problems now.

I never heard of a priest dying of hunger and starvation,or saw one with holes in his shoes. Most parish priests are better fed and acccomodated than the majority of their parishioners. Many highranking Catholic clergy are indeed rich and wealthy. They are well paid and get generous perks and allowances. So do the clergy of most other denominations of Christianity.
A lot of people have laid complaints and made allegations of physical and sexual abuse by Catholic priests and a wide variety of church social workers. The response of ecclesiastical authorities to complaints is often at odds with legal findings and requirements. These problems are not exclusive to Catholics. All denominations seem to have the same common faults and flaws.

I never heard of a richer empire than the rich catholic churches which are all over the world ,on many acres of property ,this is a great money making political machine ,of course they can abuse children sexually, no one stops this all powerful malevolent force, the pope is more powerful than the president, he could rally the whole world to hate bush and they would bush could not do the same thing against the pope

how about the pope? and cardinals? and arch bishops? and bishops? they are all priests.
as for the rest of your question, what does a rich catholic priest have to do with being a sexual abuser? there is no relation between being rich and being a sexual abuser.

Yes, they steal all of the money out of the money basket that they pass around. There's sexual predators not only in the Catholic church, but in other religious groups also. Besides that the Catholic church has lots of money. I"m a ex Catholic, proud of it too. There Faith doesn't teach you the truth or true teachings of the Bible.

Catholic priests are no more prone to abusing anyone sexually than anyone else.
As most priests do not take a vow of poverty, there's no reason they couldn't have abundant finaincial resources.
