I am in the middle of a divorce and I have absolutely no intention of ever getting married again. I am concluding that marriage is for kids. Growth and happiness are the true reward of the brave at heart. When people marry they are taking a chance that they will grow at the same rate and in the same direction. It's pretty much a gamble. I don't see the upside of the risk, so single makes much more sense to me.

I was for the last 23 years but lately have been really feeling alone and needing a companion committed to being there for you as you are for them....lousy 5 yr marriage...wonderful 5 years with the woman I should have married...then really no need for anybody else

I am 36 years old and I am still single. I do have someone that I am getting close to, but it would probably be a while before marriage comes up. A mate of mine has been single all of his life and he is 52 years old.

after a few unsuccessful relationship with girls, i have given a thought of staying single the rest of my life. having my own family would be one of my goals in life but that seems almost impossible now. not married and living alone all my life would not be my last resort, i hope to find my significant half sooner or later (though some part of me doubted it)

me and my friend ( we are both teens) are always saying life was easier when boys had cooties. We are going to start a Christian nun movement. Well she is, if i meet the right guy i might let her start that organization on her own. BUt who says you can't?
