There are famous people we mourn when they die for the same reason we mourn our loved ones. We will miss them .
There is no worship of these people just by being sad they are dead.
I think you are worried about nothing

Are you referring to the recent tragic death of
Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin? He was a great entertainer and folks enjoyed watching his episodes. What is wrong with feeling
sad about his or anyone else's death?

If a person is upset or sad because of the death of a loved one or someone they admire and/or attends a funeral of that person--that is not worshipping the deceased. You must never have experienced the death of someone close to you or that you admired. If you had, you would not be asking such a tacky question.

I don't recall seeing in the Bible where God said do not worship the dead. Where in the Bible is that?

Cause people have nothing else to do but idolize people they wish they knew. Death is but a part in the cycle of life and is needed to keep order.

I lost my brother 3-9-06.I have great sympathy for people who lose their loved ones.I assume we are talking about Steve Irwin.I don't feel bad for Steve.I feel bad for Terri and the children left behind.I feel their pain and I so understand the shock, numbness, pain and confusion of it all.I pray for them.

It's a common experience. If I told you about the death of my grandma, you wouldn't be able to share your feelings about it, because you would have none. But if teh croc hunter dies, that's something we have in common.
