No. praying for something (even if you pray for years) will not cause God to answer it in the way that you might want Him to. He is Sovereign Lord, meaning that he answers our prayers the way He knows best, because He sees the "bigger picture!" We have but to trust & obey!

No. That's impossible. For instance I'm sure that somewhere there is some racist person asking god to kill all black people and there is probably someone asking God to help keep their black friend alive. God can really only answer one can't he?
I've prayed for something to come true for 5 years and it looks like it's finally coming true, but some people pray all their lives for things and never get it because it is a selfish prayer that God can see will only hurt them in the end...I can't speak for God, but this is what I believe.
I suggest you read the Bible and get a Bible concordance and look up verses about prayer. Also read the book "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis" (he wrote the Chronicles of Narnia and was known as a brilliant philosipher in his day). i hope something I said helps.

The closer you become to God, the easier it is to pray for exactly what you need, and the easier it is to understand the way he works.

If you seem to be having problems in that respect, quit "hanging back" and do something to improve your relationship with him.

Join a prayer group.

Take up a cause.

Begin a fast.

Go on a pilgrimage, or a spiritual retreat.

Make a significant donation to a truly worthy cause.

Take a course.

Volunteer.

Then see what happens.

I belive that God answers all prayers...sometimes the answer is "No". I think that he has a greater plan that is beyond what we can see when he does not grant the prayer or wish that we want. Sometimes, it is a greater opportunity or better situation that unfolds later and we then understand why we were not granted the prayer request that we had originally asked for. But, that's just my way of seing it.

Yes god does answer prayers they can not be selfish prayers, they have to be about you and others he give you what you need and want and you have believe that your prayer will be answered.you have to have faith god has his own time when hes goin to do things if it is his will he has the plans for your life but you must give him all of yourself to him so that he can help.God is not a victim to your circumstances but he can help you change you read your BIBLE the Book of Jonh and pray to GOD he hears you believe me he hears you.

Not necessarily; I know from personal experience. The prayers will only get answered if it's part of God's will. But I will pray that your prayer will finally be answered!

That above is true, despite the scripture: Ask and you shall receive. Sometimes you receive, and sometimes you don't.

Best of luck!

Jesus says that u can pray for ANYTHING at all and it will come true. Our society still sucks so i wouldnt even try it. Hundreds of studies have been tested and not one said that praying does anything at all
