I came from a small school for almost all my life. My cousins say moving from 56 kids in the whole school all the way to 2000 kids can hurt. Is this true? Please Answer!!

Undoubtedly! Just look at the numbers! We are all very vulnerable & fragile with our abilities to cope with ever changing circumstances & the opportunity to digest such an influx of activities can only come from frantic processing of known variables & recognition of our own inabilities to 'relate'. Hurtful? It may be tramatic but I wouldn't say 'hurt'. It's daunting & overwhelming but it seems the more input, the more output! The coping mechinisum kicks in or else then someone weak & without support COULD snap, but unlikely with all the help & support usually readily available! Just 'keep a stiff upper lip', 'pull yersef up by the bootstraps' & all the other cliches & PRAY! You can't imagine culture shock til ya move to another country with a different language! Where they drive on the opposite side of the streets! Where there's no Hersheys, no root beer, & no tacos, no waitresses! I gotcha culture shock right here! You'll be fine! K-den, please be sure to have a real nice day!

It can also help. Think of how many more friends you might find among the 2000 people in a big school. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you are used to being a star in your small school, you may face additional competition in the larger one. If you take that as a challenge, rather than getting depressed about it, even that can be a positive experience.
