I just broke up with my bf and I want a new relationship. I'm not a terrible person just wanting to use the new guy to get over my ex. The thing is, I just want to move on. But it's just too hard.
I came from China a year ago to study as a grad student here. And sometimes I just felt so hard to fit in. My English is not bad, at least better than any Chinese students I know of. But sometimes I don't understand some slang terms and stuff like that. Since I decided to live here for the rest of my life and I like the people here, I want to have an American bf rather than a Chinese one. My ex is also American. But now that we broke up, I found it very hard for me to find another American bf again. So was it just my ex or most American guys just don't like Chinese girls like me?

American men LOVE Asian women
be it Chinese / Malaysian, Veitnamese, Thai, Phillipina ( my fav ), Japanese, etc..
there are so many beautiful women from Asia
that the problem may be competition
here in Southern California..
there are many Asians and Hispanics
they out number the Cacasians by a huge factor
many out here prefer a Asian or Latina GF to a American girl
if only because the attitude of the American girl can be found wanting....
oh sure at first she is sweet
but soon the independant and selfish part of her rears it's ugly head
I have seen attractive American girls, but I constantly remind myself of how damaged goods they are and avoid them
Asians seem to be neater and care much about their appearance, they rarely need any make up to enhance their natural beauty, they tend to be slimmer to.. and that's where some American girls do not like them for the above reasons
no I say you have a good chance of finding an American guy , better than some.. you just have to know where to market yourself ( think of dating as a series of job interviews in which ultimately you are trying to land that life long job ).

as the saying goes, there a plenty of fish in the sea...unfortunately we don't have all the time to pick out and date to find the soul mate. so if your looking for some American guys that are interested in Chinese people then try searching the web for personals that list both chinese and americans.

For instance, a friend of mine, he went to Australia for English Course, and then he met a Japan Girl (he said can be Chinese Girl) , falling Love and then married, now they are living in Japan. I think you have it all wrong about american guys not liking chinese girls. Most american guys like anything that wears a skirt. I would leave all my options open and look for that guy that really cares for and respects you. That's what is important regardless of what nationality he may be.

Personally I think women of all nationalities are beautiful, its just about finding the right guy. That being said, my gf is from Chongqing and I love her so much! Like other people have been saying just give it time and let things take their course.

In general, guys like all women, especially when they are beautiful. Now, is Chinese women from China pretty compared to other women. I would say no to that. - sorry!

don't know where you live but there are a lot of american guys that like asian women. sometimes the accent makes it that much better.

i dont know what your problem is...
I'm asian and its not that hard for me.
Maybe you are just trying too hard.
I find that if you are out looking for guys... you wont find any... But when you arent then they just sorta come to you.
