Are there any resources for those who have abused and are riddled by guilt? and how does one stop? a person I am counseling says that it is like an impulse and after he does it there is a rush....how can I help him?

One of the best treatment modalities for those who have abused anything or anyone is group therapy. You can find group meetings for parents who have abused children, spousal abuse, and for sexual abusers. I have added several websites (and lists of websites) to make it easier to find out what you need to help your client.
