im in college, and when im walking around campus, i notice that all of the girls here are either walking with another girl, or are on their cell phones. soemtiems girls will be walking together, and both of the will be on their cell phones at the same time. why?

I have no clue - but I think it is totally pathetic! I have noticed the same thing since I live in a college town. I can't decide if they have a need to feel important or if they have such low self esteem that they have to have constant validation from outside sources. As a professional, I LOVE the times of day when I can turn off all e-mail, cell phones, answering machines etc and be all alone.I am really concerned about the techno generation that is coming of age.

The only time I've ever faked a phone call is while on stage or in some way (obviously) acting. I wouldn't any other time. I do have one friend who has to answer every single call when she's on the phone with me. I've been put on hold for significant periods of time before. It's irritating, but it's still not faking.

I am really, really tired of people assuming that just because some people of either gender does something, all people of that gender must do that thing. I'm a teenager and I haven't used my cell phone in two weeks. The last call I made was less than two minutes long, and yes, that is my typical usage.
Maybe you should ask the girls who do those things why, instead of assuming that we all do it and can therefore can all answer your questions.

BEcause girls are social animals. WE are not! They must have millions of friends, and when they have millions, they want more. We as guys want no friends. We just want a few good ones. Cellphones were the greatest thing to distract a girl since the shopping mall!!! She will spend allllllllll day on her phone, and she never gets anywhere in life. Find yourself a girl that doesn't carry a cellphone everywhere because the ones that do interupt dates with phone calls. Good luck finding Miss Perfect!

Not only girls like to gossip..ok
May be when they are busy on there phone it is then you remember to do your business around.....
Or it could also be you look at only the girls who are not looking at you but are busy wid there own stuff
