Do you think i should take emergency leave for my husbands grandfather passing away? Wouldnt it be my grandfather too?

yup, when you are married, your supposed to be 1. thats what the ceremony is about. the union. your supposed to support the other, its legal and binding. take the leave.

Your husband's grandfatther doesn't qualify as an "immediate family member" so you don't qualify for "emergency leave"... only your and your husbands' parents, siblings and kids qualify as immed. family.

Second, if you are CONUS, emergency leave doesn't gain you anything... just expedites travel from overseas...

Finally... If your husband goes, Be there to support him!

i think if ur husband was really close to him and needs someone to be there for him, then yes, and also if you were really close to his grandfather.

if you want to but i think you should only do it if you husband is having a hard time dealing with this loss and of course, to go to the funeral.
