I just moved to the U.S. a year back. And completed my sophomore year. School started last week and I've fallen for a girl in my class. I've got her in 2 of my classes but haven't ever talked to her. I never thought of considering a serious relationship till college but I'm definitely reconsidering now. My question was, is it ok in the U.S. to just go up to someone and tell them you like them or should i try being friends first (which is a little problematic since i'm very introverted and generally people come to me). I really like her and want to tell her. So, is it okay? And what could her worst reaction/reply be?

It is perfectly acceptable to tell a female you are into them in the U.S. It is also ok to be friends with her first.(Which to me is even better because you get to know each other first) As to what could be the worst reply...Maybe she is with someone. Usually females are not cruel to men whom they don't like(if thats the case). If we don't like you, we most of the time, will be nice but not let the relationship go any further than casual talking.

So a sophmore in High School hun? Well women rule as you know and they love to outsmart men, which they easily do. So ya going to have to out smart her.
Be very nice and just say hi to her and call her by name. Don't tell her you like her. Then be nice to other girls. And she'll be impressed with your kindness. And sooner or later you'll learn how to melt women and then WATCH OUT baby.
I am a man of 45 years old and I have had some great relations in my life with women and I have friends that are mostly women they are a piece of cake to melt their hearts and when ya learn the secret to how to....ya know there are books out there on the subject dude.....why don't ya just go to the library and ask a librarian to help you nicely. That's their job ya know.

It's ok to just tell her if you prefer the direct approach. Her worst reaction might be a laugh or a "no thanks" if she doesn't like you. You might do better to try and be a little more assertive and get her to notice you, though... Try talking to her when she is not with her friends. Just hang out and chat, relax and get to know her a little first.

Just ask her out. You don't want to put it all out there at once. First you really don't know her personally so how do you know you like her without actually having a conversation.

No you have to ask permission and get it in writing from you local government official.....LOL No its perfectly fine to tell her....
