She will see me and first thing she says is "Guess what happened at the gym today" she talks about how good her butt looks. I am so sick of it. I just smile. I dont want to make an enemy, but how do I get the point across that I dont want to hear it anymore?

I like several of the answers. Some are quite humorous. Oh and just for the record, I am not jealous of her. She is 40 and I am 27, no way! I will try a few of the suggestions like the oven is on, my cell is vibrating. (my luck the phone would ring ) One of these days I may just tell her how I feel but not be rude. :) Thanks for all the answers!

Seems she is a lonely person with no friends and for some reason she has chosen you to talk to.....about her butt....Just tell her the truth. You are uncomfortable listening to stories of other peoples butts. And that you really don't care to hear them. Then maybe you could say that since you are so uncomfortable about her butt stories. You will stop listening and/or talking to her completely. If you happen to see her when you are walking out or back in just ignore her. She will probably get the point and either start talking about something else or leave you alone. I have done this before and it does work. Good luck.

well to be honest we've all been there.... the thing is honestly it's annoying.. but to get out of that situations is either to avoid her which is not a good idea... or look deeper and see it for what it is...my guess is that she's fronting... your neighbor is focusing attention to her physically side because inside she may not feel 100% positive in who she is... so in cases like this in order to full empty voids she does what she does..... sometimes the only thing to do is to reach out. it may seem like the problem is just that she likes to talk about her physical self but the truth is she's empty and what she really needs is a good friend who'd tell her kindly the truth and save her from not just embarrassing herself and annoying others but going down a path where vanity will consume her total. I believe sometimes these type of people are placed in our paths so we could make a differences. so just observe and look for a creative way to tell her in that way you'd achieve telling the truth without offending....hope that helps.
Maybe in the process you'd find a long term friend.

tell her that knce she gets pregnant it will all go away.. looks and everything so dont get her hopes up too high and that whoopie goldberg has a better *** than her... If you want her to get pissed at you and stop talking to you altogether
otherwise you could just tell her the truth and say that you are tired of hearing it and if she gets mad at you for that, then tell her what else you could have chose to tell her
but you could also fight fire with firs.. so talk about how great you think one of YOUR features is (whether it is or not) and if she gets annoyed with you for it then point out that thats what she does to you all of the time.

Pity her. If she has to work on her butt that much, she must not have that many other qualities. whike she's telling u this say to yourself (silently) " wow, it must really be nice to be so stupid that you dont realize how bad life really sux" . A smile and a nod are not too much to give her ,are they, to keep u from being an a hole. You arent jealous r u?

When she starts talking, politely interrupt and tell her that you dont have time to talk about how good she thinks her butt looks today. She will leave you alone for sure!!

Yes, good answer to say you have someting cooking or you are expecting a phone call. Then smile and say, "Besides, I'm a female. I'm not interested in other female's bodies." Then laugh and run away to your cooking, etc.

I'd continue to do what you're doing. The other option is to avoid her at all costs. When she doesn't get the reaction from you that she's hoping for, she'll move on to someone else to brag to.
