no matter what state you live in you can get a free credit report from all 3 of the credit reporting agencies. it is now law that you can get it once a year. so go to www.annualcreditrepot.com and fill in the requested info and you gat it right then and there on line, you can even print it out. but more than likely you will have a negative report since you have not started credit. itr could have the negative of the bbooks also. give it try. good luck. and it is even FREE

Depending what state you live in you may be entitled to an actual free credit report. Not one of those sites that offer a trial with something. Do a search for your state and free credit reports. As far as age goes have you been emancipated? If so then you can legally sign. Also if you are living on your own and supporting yourself. Try to stay away from credit cards unless you can get a secured one, that will not let you charge over your deposit.

If you are under 18, you can't obtain credit, because that requires the signing or a contract. Minors can't be held responsible for any contract.
